We’ve just been informed that Kinetic Stories has been picked as a winner in the bi-annually held, UN, Unesco and Unido backed World Summit Award. The win comes in the category of “e-Entertainment and Games”, where we were awarded among heavy weights such as CCP Games’ EVE Online.
A prestigious world wide competition, nominees for the competition come from all UN member states with 40 projects from eight different categories get picked each time. Kinetic Stories entered the competition as Finland’s representative in the category of “E-entertainment and Games”.
The Chairman of the Jury, Prof. Peter A Bruck writes: “Today, I am delighted to let you know that you are among the 40 winners of the WSA 2013 and that you are earning UN wide recognition for your teams’ achievements! We received more than 460 qualifying submissions from all UN member states and an international experts jury selected the 5 winners in each 8 categories in 2 conducted and democratic rounds.”
While we will be putting out an official press release tomorrow, this post is written as a celebration to the hard work everybody in the team and near it has been putting in to the project. Congratulations to Mari, Janne, Tommi, Amin for their work, as well as Anu, Ella and Miia for their great theses’. Thanks are also in place to Jyri, Hannu, Kate, Sami and of course Cai for believing in Kinetic Stories. Cheers also to all the devs of Blender, which has been central to our R&D process for Kinetic Stories.
